Suzanne Ross
Suzanne’s journey to the field of Independent Educational Consulting comes after a distinguished 30-year career in television where she worked on iconic shows such as Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America, and True Hollywood Story.
A seasoned writer and Executive Producer, Suzanne created multiple award-winning series for VH1 and E! Entertainment, and produced hundreds of hours of documentary and biography programming. Following that, she oversaw the launch of Time, Inc’s inaugural digital streaming network, PeopleTV. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of mentoring countless young adults, both personally and professionally, guiding them on their career paths.
In 2019, Suzanne joined Mentors Matter, a volunteer group dedicated to assisting first-generation, underserved high school seniors with their college essays and helping them navigate the college admissions process. It was this work that eventually inspired her to merge her storytelling expertise with her passion for guiding students on their educational journey. As she states, “Producing a show isn’t all that different from applying to college. It’s about being organized, knowing your subject, and understanding your audience.”
A graduate of The Loomis Chaffee School and Tufts University, Suzanne holds a BA in English and Media Studies. She graduated from IECA’s Summer Training Institute in 2020 and earned a Certificate in College Counseling from UC Irvine.
Suzanne is a Wow certified essay coach, an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), and a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), where she connects with fellow counselors nationwide. She frequently visits campuses and attends workshops and conferences to stay informed of the ever-changing college admissions landscape.
